Bonds of Dedication: Nurturing LP GIMSAT's Journey with Heart and Hope

 

On a fateful night, my friend, whom everyone called Sai but I lovingly called Priya, rang me out of the blue. She had an idea - to create something meaningful for students lost in the labyrinth of education and career choices. Her words resonated with me and thus began our journey. 


Meanwhile, another friend entered and we turned out to be a dynamic trio—Priya's confidante from her previous workplace, Reshmi, fondly called by Priya as "Reshmi mam." With her joining our circle, we embarked on the task of brainstorming and shortlisting potential names. After careful consideration, we unanimously settled on "E Launchpad." To give our venture a visual identity, we harnessed the creative power of the widely acclaimed Canva, fashioning a logo that resonated with our vision.


The next item on our checklist was a website. Attempting to build one myself, I turned to Google for guidance but found myself yearning for more confidence. This prompted us to seek the assistance of our common mentor, the venerable Shri Omnath Sir. Remarkably, within a mere two days, he crafted a splendid website for us. Eager to breathe life into our online presence, we diligently filled the pages with content and commenced our virtual operations.


Despite facing the relentless demands of her ongoing commitments at her previous job—deadlines and round-the-clock responsibilities—Priya remained dedicated to our cause. We kept the web pages of E Launchpad alive, nurturing the dream that, perhaps in the future, it could blossom into something more. This delicate juggling act persisted for months on end, preventing us from fully concentrating on the promising potential of E Launchpad.


Amidst the challenges both at home and in the workplace, a turning point arrived one memorable night. Once again, the very voice of a "people-pleaser" saying, "Sru, let's start a college. Are you with me?" It's a truth about me - I've never uttered a "no" to her proposals. So, naturally, it became a resounding yes from my end. She delved into the details, discussing the intricacies of securing funds (our helping hand, Priya’s cousin brother, without whom, LP GIMSAT would be nothing) and finding a suitable building for our envisioned college.


Thus, was born our second dream child - LP Global Institute of Management Studies and Technology, whom we lovingly call "L P GIMSAT" - short and sweet. 


Countless unspoken challenges and hurdles have marked the journey of birthing this dream project. Gradually, our initial trio expanded into a resilient team of five, with the invaluable additions of Keshu and Mithun. Amidst it all, a heartfelt thank you is owed to Priya for her unwavering effort, dedication, and constant moral support, preventing us from crumbling at every turn.


Additionally, a profound expression of gratitude goes to Priya's cousin brother's mother, affectionately referred to as "Amma" by Priya, and gradually became ours too. Her proactive initiative has played a pivotal role in shaping LP GIMSAT into the thriving reality it stands as today.


As of December 28, 2023, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Priya. She played a crucial role in pushing me beyond my comfort zone, and sculpting me into the person I am today. There's still so much for me to learn from her, and I'll forever be indebted for the transformation she catalyzed in me.


The combined contributions of the reserved yet skillful Sreekrishna, the ever-contemplative Mithun always pondering the next move, the soft-spoken and perpetually positive youngest team member Deepak, the ever-enthusiastic Keshu, our financial sage Reshmi mam who navigates the psychology of money, and our all-encompassing Saipriya have collectively molded LP GIMSAT into the thriving entity it is today—with a multitude of students and a track record of successful placements.


The journey has been a tapestry of struggles, from the bustling shopping sprees to personalize our college space to the rollercoaster of registrations and continual learning experiences. These moments will be forever etched in our hearts like sweet memories, reflecting the dedication and hard work that has gone into making LP GIMSAT the success it is today.
